This Accuracy Disclosure explains the limits of accuracy you can expect from StelaHome content, including StelaReport, composite grades, repair-cost estimates from Stela Fix Oracle and Quote Upload, repair guides, the cost calculator, and Home Dashboard outputs.
StelaHome is not a property inspection. We do not visit your home, evaluate its physical condition, look behind walls, test fixtures, observe occupants, or open mechanical systems. Any condition-related statement we surface is derived from public records, sensor or imagery data licensed from third parties, or homeowner-supplied input — not from a site visit.
StelaHome is not a real-estate appraisal. We do not produce an opinion of market value, comparable-sales analysis, or any output recognized under USPAP or any state appraisal-licensing regime. Where a price-related figure appears (for example, a replacement cost or repair-cost estimate), it is a modeled budgeting figure and not an appraisal value.
Composite grades, including HazardGrade and RoofGrade, are not insurance ratings. They do not predict, replace, or substitute for an insurance carrier’s underwriting decision, premium calculation, or loss-history evaluation. Insurers use proprietary models and inputs we do not have access to.
StelaHome content is informational. It is not legal, engineering, medical, financial, accounting, environmental-remediation, or contractor advice. You should consult a licensed professional before acting on any matter that requires professional judgment for your jurisdiction.
External datasets we consume — FEMA flood maps, EPA water-quality records, USGS seismic-hazard data, NOAA event histories, FCC broadband, public permit registries, and others — update on different cadences. We label data with the source’s update timestamp where feasible, but we cannot guarantee that any source is current as of the moment you view a report.
Some grades and inputs use zip-level, CBSA-level, or state-level aggregations. Where we use a zip centroid to classify your property into a regional curve, the boundary may not reflect the precise hazard or pricing profile at the parcel itself. Our methodology documents describe these limits explicitly.
Pricing outputs are modeled estimate ranges. They are not contractor bids, offers to perform work, or guarantees of project cost. Actual cost depends on scope, hidden conditions, code requirements, permit requirements, access constraints, labor availability, urgency, disposal needs, weather, taxes, contractor overhead, material choice, finish quality, and local market dynamics.
Each composite grade is computed under a specific methodology version. A report generated under v1.0 remains pinned to v1.0 even after newer versions are published. Two reports for the same property under different methodology versions may produce different grades.
StelaReports remain viewable for ninety (90) days from generation. After expiration, the report view is no longer guaranteed to be accessible, and the inputs underlying it may have changed. You should generate a new report if you intend to rely on current data.
Some narrative sections are AI-assisted and pass through internal language and safety validators before display. AI assistance does not change the source-data limits described above, and we do not guarantee that any AI-generated paragraph is free of error. If you spot an inaccuracy, please contact support.
You remain solely responsible for verifying any fact you intend to rely on, especially before signing a contract, closing on a home, ordering work, or making a decision that has financial or safety consequences. Where required, you must obtain inspection, appraisal, engineering, environmental, or insurance services from licensed professionals.
Where StelaHome offers a paid-product refund remedy, that remedy is limited to the terms of the Limited Refund Policy. Nothing in this Accuracy Disclosure expands StelaHome’s liability beyond the limits described in the Terms of Service.
If you believe a specific data point in a report is wrong, contact accuracy@stelahome.com with the report identifier and a description of the issue. We investigate reported errors, correct them where verified, and may publish a methodology change log entry where the underlying rule needs to change.
